International news: Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov launched a scathing attack on the Western countries' initiative to give security guarantees to Ukraine, saying that providing security to Ukraine without involving Russia is a path that cannot have any clear result. Lavrov called the European leaders naive and said that they have failed to understand the real situation. Recently these leaders went to the White House to meet US President Donald Trump, but there they did not give any concrete suggestions to normalize the situation.

Russia is in favor of providing reliable security guarantees to Ukraine. Lavrov reminded that this was discussed at the meeting held in Istanbul in 2022, where representatives of the two countries considered the issue of ceasefire and security. However, despite the ceasefire, Russia's aggressive actions have increased.

The Russian Army attacks Kostiantynivka

The Russian army recently attacked the city of Kostiantynivka in eastern Ukraine, killing three people and injuring many others. This industrial city has been surrounded by the Russian army from three directions and is being attacked continuously. Regional governor Vadim Filashkin said that people were forced to leave the city to avoid attacks. In the Sumy region also, 14 people were injured in Russian attacks, including three children.

Meanwhile, Poland's Defense Minister Vladyslav Kosiniak accused Russia of trying to provoke NATO countries. Recently, Russian drone attacks reached the eastern part of Poland, but they quickly returned.

Odessa Gas Hub Hit Hard

Russia has also targeted Odessa's gas distribution center, which could adversely affect energy supply. Despite this activism by Russia, the attitude of Western countries is still not to take any concrete steps towards a ceasefire, and no concrete improvement is visible in the situation of Ukraine. Civilians in Odessa are facing severe shortages of fuel and electricity, with hospitals warning of possible shutdowns of critical services. Local authorities fear that winter could bring unprecedented hardships if energy reserves are destroyed further.

International aid agencies are appealing for urgent assistance, but delivery remains uncertain due to heavy bombardment. Analysts suggest that energy infrastructure has now become a central target in Russia’s war strategy. The attack highlights Moscow’s determination to weaken Ukraine not only militarily but also economically and socially.
